Well yesterday I came home pretty much right away from work as I just couldn't concentrate and was just coughing and sneezing everywhere. Today I came home at luchtime for the same thing. I feel better but my head is so stuffy and I'm so tired that life is just pretty miserable at the moment.

My current project - or one of them - is coloring a drawing of Ayase from Okane ga nai that I scanned into my computer. It's one where he is depicted as an angel and really is one of my favorite portraits of the character. This is a sketch I did from reference and decided to use that instead of an actual manga page as I really want to get closer to creating my own original work. I know fan art is original but I want to be able to draw fan art of my own creation - not just from prior reference. Anyway I disgress.

I'm trying to learn Corel Painter IX instead of Photoshop just to see the differences between the two. I am making a watercolor portrait in Corel and am trying to learn how to make an image on one layer non-transparent to a layer below. I know it's something to do with image masks but I'm not there yet - and probably won't be today while I feel like crap.

I've done coding in the past with Cold Fusion and worked on various web projects and my husband has said more than once that I'm like a dog with a bone - I just keep going until I get through the problem. I want to think I'll progress with my project with that same attitude but I'm thinking that the dog with a bone is as sick as a dog and might have to try again tomorrow.

Frustrating. *achoo*
